Signs You Have a Termite Problem

  • Stuck Windows or Doors – Although there can be multiple causes for windows or doors that begin to stick, one possible cause is a termite problem. Termites look for wood that is exposed and easy to access, and entry points are often the perfect target. When they begin to eat the wood, it causes warping which makes doors and windows more difficult to open and close properly. Crumbling baseboards or sagging floors and ceilings can also signal a termite problem.
  • Termite Droppings – Another sign of termite activity is the presence of termite droppings. Not everyone recognizes termite droppings for what they are the first time, as they tend to resemble piles of sand, pepper, or sawdust. Now that you know what to look for, keep an eye out for this issue, and contact our team right away if you see any suspicious piles around your home.
  • Shed Wings – Another sign of termite activity in or around your home is shed wings. Termites use their wings to fly to new areas in a process called swarming, but they quickly lose those wings once they arrive to a new area. If you see termite wings (which can resemble tiny fish scales) around your home, reach out to us as soon as possible so we can start eliminating your termite problem right away.
